Xiaomi Mi 9 and Mi 9 Transparent Edition with up to 12GB RAM goes official
Right on schedule, Xiaomi unveiled its latest smartphones, the Mi 9 and Mi 9 Transparent Edition.

A new monster phone from Xiaomi
The Xiaomi Mi 9 features a glass back material with a 6.39-inch 19:5:9 AMOLED screen, FHD+ resolution, and a waterdrop-like notch. As expected, it is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC. Xiaomi also introduced the new Game Turbo technology with real-time CPU/GPU/FPS monitoring.

The regular Mi 9 has up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage while the Transparent Edition features up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Mi 9 features a 3,300mAh battery with USB-C 27W fast charging and a 20W fast wireless charging.
Triple-cam Xiaomi phone
At the back, the phone has 3 cameras in total. It has a big 48MP f/1.75 sensor with 1/2-inch and 0.8μm size. It also has support for pixel binning dubbed as the 4-in-1 Super Pixel tech that shoots up 12MP photos with 1.6μm size. The 48MP camera also comes with Laser AF, PDAF, and CAF focus technologies.
The secondary sensor is a 16MP f/2.2 117-degree ultra wide-angle lens with 1.0μm pixel size, AF, and up to 4cm macro photography.
The 3rd camera is a 12MP f/2.2 2x optical telephoto sensor with AF. Three sensors comes with 6P lens and closed-loop motor for faster focus.
For selfies, you will find a 20MP camera.

The Mi 9 with 6GB RAM/128GB is priced at CNY 2999 (around PHP 23K) and 8GB RAM/128GB retails at CNY 3,299 (around PHP 25.5K).
The limited Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition with 12GB RAM/256G storage is priced at CNY 3999 or around PHP 30K.
The phones will go on sale in China starting Feb 26.
