The 2nd Philippine Retail Summit |
Dubbed as the #GenCX, the Ultimate Retail Disruptor, it gathered more than 300 attendees from the retail sector to learn from industry sources.
Keeping up with the modern retail styles
The sessions revolved around purchase decisions, leveraging online platforms, digitalizing retail, micro-moments in retail, reasons behind 'virality', and redesigning and creating brands for the new generation customer experience.
Apprentice Asia's winner Jonathan Yabut even said that the modern customers expect enterprises to easily keep up with the changing times.
This was supported by Regina Saquin, customer experience head of Zalora, who stressed that businesses must embrace digital transformation in order to tap opportunities in the online space.
GIZGUIDE's founder Peter Jan Icogo was also invited to be part of a panel discussion for "Redefining Shopping Convenience with Gen CX." He was joined by Gracie Miranda of Tipid Mommy, and Bogs.
As a technology influencer, Icogo talked about how technology changes consumer behavior as well as the #GenCX' satisfaction level and preferences for gadgets.
Today’s Filipino consumer is well researched, brand-conscious and connected with the global market through social media and various online platforms. Armed with always-connected devices, consumers of today choose when and where they want to engage with brands, and expect a uniform, positive experience across all the interaction points – be it an app, a website, a forum, a physical store or a web store, shared Bo Lundqvist, Event Chairman for Philippine Retail Summit.
The second Philippine Retail Summit will be back next year as it targets to further equip not only the big corporations but also those small- and medium-sized enterprises with knowledge on retail disruption.
