TECNO launches 4G CAMON 50 Pro w/ MTK Helio G200 Ultimate chip + 50MP triple cam w/ up to 60x zoom

TECNO launched the CAMON 50 Pro in Kenya ahead of its expected MWC 2026 appearance in Barcelona, Spain.

On paper, TECNO CAMON 50 Pro is a camera-centric smartphone that aims to bring advanced imaging capabilities to more affordable devices. 

The design at the back

In particular, this phone is equipped with a powerful-looking 50MP f/1.8 1/1.56-inch sensor with OIS for the main camera paired with an 8MP f/2.2 112-degree ultra-wide-angle shooter. What made it even more interesting is that TECNO was able to add a 50MP f/2.4 3x telephoto that can do up to 60x digital zoom—a feature usually reserved for more premium offerings.

The rest of the specs include a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED 1.5K screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a top-center notch for the 32MP selfie camera, 6nm Helio G200 Ultimate 4G-only chipset, 8GB RAM (expandable virtually up to 16GB), 256GB internal storage, and a larger 6,150mAh battery with 45W Type-C charging and 1,800 charging cycles before reaching 80% capacity.
