RedmiBook 14 budget laptop now official in China!

Xiaomi's sub-brand has entered the laptop market with the new RedmiBook 14 with value for money as the priority.

After the announcement of the new Redmi K20 series, the Chinese firm surprised the crowd with a new 14-inch laptop with compact anodized aluminum design that weighs just 1.5kg and that is under 18 mm thick.

Front and back sides

The display is a Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS display with an 81.2 percent screen-to-body ratio that is powered by either an Intel Core i5-8265U or an Intel Core i7-8565U and an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2GB GDDR5 memory.

It comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of SATA SSD. The laptop is powered by a 46WHr battery. It also comes two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and one HDMI 1.4 port. 

Price and availability

Intel Core i5, 256GB model: CNY 3,999 or around PHP 30K

Intel Core i5, 512GB model: CNY 4,299 or around PHP 33K

Intel Core i7, 512GB model: CNY 4,999 or around PHP 38K

There is no word yet if it will arrive outside of China or in the Philippines.
