The A20's camera app has the same layout and design as with the rest of the A-series line of phones and the S10 from OneUI. What is different here is the limited camera modes and features.
There are only 5 modes: Photo, Video, Pro, Live Focus, and Panorama. There is no slow motion. Quick Launch is present and is activated by double tapping the power button. HDR, Grid lines and Location tag are also present.
In Pro mode, you only have access to the ISO, Exposure Compensation and white balance. ISO range is 100 to 800 while Exposure compensation is + and - 2 stops.
Beautification is present in both the selfie and main camera with up to 3 levels of intensity.
Let's look at the camera samples now.

Quick thoughts
Selfie camera |
As you can see from the image samples, the A20's camera performance depends on the situation.
The main rear camera can take images with good sharpness, color and contrast in day light with some softness and graininess in low light. On the other hand, the wide angle lens produces images that are noticeably softer than the main camera but maintains good color and contrast in daylight. In low light, it gets even softer but the color and contrast remains decent.
Looking at the selfie camera images, the selfie camera has good sharpness and color but will struggle with exposure compensation when there is too much white in the image in day light.
The color and sharpness remains good in indoor situations. In low light, the image deteriorates where the image is soft because of noise reduction and the colors are no longer as accurate or as vibrant.
From our initial impressions of the camera, the A20 can perform well in day light situations but will struggle in low light when using the ultra-wide camera and the selfie camera.
We will need to take more time with the A20 if these are consistent all through out our time with it for the full review. Stay tuned until then.
