ASUS ROG Phone 2 with 120Hz display is powered by overclocked Snapdragon 855 Plus chip!
Just a day after the Snapdragon 855 Plus announcement, ASUS confirmed that the company's upcoming ROG Phone 2 will be the first one to be powered by Qualcomm's newest top-of-the-line chip.

The first phone with SD855+ inside!
Snapdragon 855 Plus is the overclocked version of the regular Snapdragon 855. It comes with a higher 2.96GHz clock speed versus 2.84GHz. It also sports an improved Adreno 640 GPU with up to 15 percent faster performance than the regular Adreno 640.
Looking at the latest leaked pictures, there's that the new ROG Phone 2 will come with a 120Hz display with no notch!

Since the ROG Phone is designed for gaming, we can expect it to be extra faster versus other high-end phones with flagship chips.
We can also expect ASUS to add more gaming accessories that can be attached to further improve the gaming experience on the upcoming ROG Phone 2.
Lastly, the Weibo post that the ROG Phone 2 will be unleashed on July 23, 2019. It is sooner than the expected late 2019 launch of Snapdragon 855 Plus powered phones.
