Mi A3 teaser |
To recall, Mi A series is a hit among Xioami fans who wants a near-stock Android-like experience instead of its own MIUI skin.
The next great Android One mid-ranger?
Xiaomi said that "Our hit Mi A series is coming back with a serious bang!" with the "#PhotosWithoutLimits" hashtag.
It suggests that the Mi A3 will come with a massive upgrade in specs and cameras versus the Mi A2 last year. Mi A2 is a phone with a 5.99-inch 18:9 screen, Snapdragon 660 chip, 3,010mAh battery 12MP + 20MP dual-cam, and 20MP selfie cam.
Similar to Mi CC9e?

An alleged render of Mi A3 |
Courtesy of WinFuture, we have the leaked renders of the device. The images show that it will come in 3 different gradient-like colors, a triple camera setup, and a tall-looking screen with tiny dot drop notch.
Since it doesn't have a physical fingerprint scanner visible in the render, Mi A3 might feature an In-Display fingerprint reader on its alleged 6-inch display with 2240 x 1080 resolution at 409 ppi.
Inside, it is expected to feature the Snapdragon 665 processor based on the 11nm manufacturing process with up to 2.0GHz Kyro 260 cores. SD665 also comes with Adreno 610 GPU, Quick Charge 3.0, and X12 LTE modem.
WinFuture also says that the device will feature 4GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB storage, microSD expansion slot, USB-C charging port, and a dual SIM tray.
To make it a serious camera-focused phone, Mi A3 is expected to feature the same 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth cameras of the Mi CC9e. It might also go with a 32MP sensor with AI capabilities for selfies.
