Back in February 2018, Xiaomi officially returned to the Philippine shores. The Chinese tech giant opened its first every Mi Authorized Store in TriNoma followed by the flagship Megamall store a month after.

Fast forward in August 2019, Xiaomi now has a lot of official and partner stores in the country.

However, not everyone is still buying on official Xiaomi stores and it could have some disadvantages.

Just yesterday, we received a report that there is this one unfortunate buyer who got scammed by a fake Xiaomi online store.

To prevent scams from happening again, we list the reasons and advantages of getting your Xiaomi device on an official Xiaomi store.
