ASUS ROG Phone II is set to hit PH on October 11

Mobile gamers are in for a treat as ASUS' gaming brand, Republic of Gamers (ROG), is making the latest iteration of its gaming-dedicated smartphone official in the country.

Mirroring the innovation of the ROG Phone II, this smartphone will also make a fresh entry in the local smartphone market through a livestream on the official ASUS ROG Facebook page.

ASUS ROG dropped the announcement recently, much to the excitement of its followers and gamers who have been anticipating this upgrade to the ROG Phone.

The livestream will be on October 11, 2019, starting at 9pm.

The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is touted to set customers' gaming experience into "Overdrive" with its 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 6 display overlay, and in-display fingerprint scanner. This display is intended to pair well with ultrasonic pressure-sensitive Air Trigger buttons return and gaming accessory AeroActive Cooler II when in action.

Users can also expect seamless processes with a 7nm 64-bit Snapdragon 855 Plus 2.96Hz overclocked octa-core chipset, 3D vapor chamber cooling, 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 512GB UFS 3.0 storage, 6,000mAh battery, 48MP Sony IMX586 + 13MP 125-degree ultra-wide lens, stereo audio, quad mics with noise cancellation, and dual vibrating motors.

Connectivity-wise, the ROG Phone 2 will ship with WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad (5G, 2×2 MIMO), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and NFC.
