In China, the Vivo U3 has just been released. It's a promising smartphone packed with mid-range worthy specs at an entry-level price tag.

Vivo U3 highlights a 3D curved glass-like material at the back in Black, Blue, and Porcelain Green gradient colors and 6.53-inch IPS display with FHD+ resolution and a tiny halo notch to house the selfie camera.

For the processor, the handset is packed with an 11nm-based 2.0GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 675 AIE octa-core processor with Adreno 612 GPU, the same SoC found on the Vivo V17 Pro.

It comes in two memory options - 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB. It also has a HUGE 5,000mAh battery with micro USB 18W fast charging support.

For the cameras, it highlights a 16MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro cameras. For selfies, it has a 16MP shooter.

The phone also has the usual WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It loads with Funtouch OS 9 based on Android Pie. Funtouch OS 9 has the Multi-Turbo, Game Space, and AI-based digital assistant Jovi.

In China, the 4GB/64GB variant is priced at CNY 999 or around PHP 7.2K. The 6GB/64GB model retails for CNY 1,199 or around PHP 8.6K.

Just note that the conversions above don't include taxes and other duties yet.

There's no word if it will be available in other parts of the world including the Philippines as well.
