On paper, it is a productivity notebook with an all-aluminum metal design, big display, capable chip, fast-charge support, pop-up selfie cam, and highly capable overall specs for the price.

In particular, it boasts a 15.6-inch IPS screen with FHD+ resolution, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U quad-core CPU, Radeon Vega 8 Graphics, and 8GB DDR4.

The version that Huawei launched in the country is the 256GB + 1TB SSD variant instead of the lesser 256GB edition.
Powering this laptop is a 42WHr battery with an expected battery life of around 5 to 6 hours. In the package, it has a USB-C 65W Switching Power Adapter that you can use to charge the laptop or any smartphone.
The Huawei MateBook D 15 also highlights a full-sized keyboard with a hidden 1MP pop-up selfie cam in its upper-middle portion, a power button/fingerprint reader in one (Windows Hello), and stereo speakers.
