Realme 6 and realme 6 Pro announced with 90Hz Pro Display, quad cameras

Realme 6 and 6 Pro was officially unveiled during a live stream event in India. The two new devices are touted to be a big upgrade at this price point.

Realme 6 comet-inspired design

Realme 6 has a new comet-inspired design. It is said to be a major leap from the realme 5 Pro. It also has a 6.5-inch 90Hz Ultra Smooth Display with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution. It now has a 90.5 percent screen-to-body ratio due to its punch-hole design. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is also splash resistant.

Inside, it has a 2.05GHz MediaTek Helio G90T octa-core processor, Mali-G76 GPU, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and a 4,300mAh battery with 30W Pro Fast Charging technology. The Helio G90T is touted as a gaming-grade chipset that aims to deliver smooth performance.

The 30W Pro Charging technology can charge the 4,300mAh from 0 percent to full in just 60 minutes. It also keeps the battery safe by slowing down the charging rate once it reaches 90 percent.

Realme 6 camera features

For cameras, it has a quad-camera setup at the back with 64MP GW1 main sensor + 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 2MP B&W Portrait lens + 2MP 4cm macro lens with LED flash. It also features Super Nightscape 2.0, portrait mode, HDR mode, AI Beauty, UIS Video Stabilization, UIS Max Video Stabilization, 4K video recording, and slow-motion video.

For selfies. it has a 16MP sensor with automatic HDR, AI Beauty, Portrait Mode, Portrait Nightscape, Time-lapse, and 120fps Slow-mo video.

Realme 6 Pro Lightning-inspired design

Realme 6 Pro is directly compared to the realme X as it is supposed to be a major upgrade. For starters, it has beautiful lightning-inspired, splash-resistant design at the back.

Upfront, it has a 6.6-inch 90Hz Ultra Smooth Display with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, 90.6 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is present here as well.

Inside, it is the first device fitted with the 8nm 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor, Adreno 618 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and a 4,300mAh battery with 30W Pro Flash Charge technology.

It also has Super Linear Speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res certification.

64MP quad-cameras

For cameras, it has a total of 6 cameras with 2 in front and 4 at the rear. For the quad cameras, it has a 64MP f/1.8 6P sensor + 8MP f/2.3 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens + 12MP 2X Tele Lens with 20X ultra-clear zoom + 4cm f/2.4 macro lens with LED flash. It also has RAW Nightscapre 3.0, RAW for Expert Mode, Ultra Nightscape Mode, UIS Max video stabilization, real-time video Bokeh Effect, ultra-wide-angle video, and video beauty.

For selfies, it has dual sensors with 16MP f/2.1 SonyIMX471 main sensor with Quad Bayer 4 in 1 + 8MP 105-degree ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 5P lens. It has AI Beauty, portrait mode, portrait nightscape, UIS stabilization, 120fps slow-mo video, and ultra wide-angle video.

Nightscape 3.0 brings in an improved and more optimized version of realme's popular camera model. It now has Tripod Mode for those who love to take long exposure night shots. It also has Ultra Nightscape mode that can shoot photos in almost pitch black situations.

It loads with realme UI out of the box with its improved designed, smoother performance, and new features.

Price and availability

Realme 6 comes in Comet Blue and Comet White. It comes in three variants with 8GB/128GB priced at INR 15,999 (around PHP 11K), 6GB/128GB at INR 14,999 (around PHP 10K), and 4GB/64GB at INR 12,999 (around PHP 8.9K).

Realme 6 Pro prices

Realme 6 Pro, on the other hand, comes in two colors as well with Lightning Orange and Lightning Blue.

It has three variants with 8GB/128GB priced at INR 18,999 (around PHP 13K),  6GB/128GB at INR 17,999 (around PHP 12.4K), and 6GB/64GB at INR 16,999 (around PHP 11.7K).
