Dell XPS 17 and XPS 15 with super slim bezels now official

Dell just introduced the new XPS 17 9700 and the redesigned XPS 15 9500 with 10th-Gen Intel Core processors, super-slim bezels, and 16:10 displays.

Dell has officially announced the new XPS 17 9700 and the redesigned XPS 15 9500 with the new 10th-Gen Intel Core processors and the 16 by 10 InfinityEdge displays.

Customers of either the XPS 17 and XPS 15 can configure their machines with up to an i9 Intel Core Processor, up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti, up to 64GB DDR4 Dual Channel SDRAM at 2933MHz, and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage.

First up is the Dell XPS 15 9500 and it's massive 15.6-inch 16:10 InfinityEdge display that is configurable to either 1080p FHD+ or touch screen 4K UHD+. Dell allows users to configure between a 56WHr or 86WHr battery. Port selection includes 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort support, 1 USB Type-C 3.1 with PD and DP support, 1 Full-size SD card reader, 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack. 

It features four speakers and dual microphone array and it connects via Killer WiFi 6AX1650 and via Bluetooth 5.0. 

All of those fit in an 18 x 344.72 x 230.14 mm chassis that weighs only 5.5 lbs or 2.5 kg.

Next up is the XPS 17 9700 with a larger 17-inch InfinityEdge display that can be configured with a touch screen 4K UHD+ panel or a 1080p FHD+ panel with anti-reflective coating. 

Inside is either a 56WHr or 97WHr battery and on the outside are 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports with PD and DP, 1 Full-size SD card reader, 3.5mm headphone, and microphone combo jack, and 1 USB Type-C to Type-A 3.0 and HDMI 2.0 dongle. It features two 1.5W tweeters and two 2.5W woofers.

XPS 17 connects via Killer WiFi 6 AX1650 and Bluetooth 5.0. All of it fits in a 19.5 x 374.45 x 248.05 mm chassis that weighs only 5.53 lbs or 2.51 kg

Both models will be available this summer in the United States. There is no word on Philippine pricing and availability.

XPS 15 - Intel i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD - USD 1,749 (around PHP 88K)

XPS 15 - Intel i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD - USD 2,199 (around PHP 111K)

XPS 15 - Intel i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD - USD 2,449 (around PHP 124K)

XPS 17 starts at USD 1499. More information on configuration details and pricing of the XPS 17 will be announced later.
