Huawei Y5p, Y6p, and MatePad T8 to launch in PH soon!

Huawei has just sent out invites to the local press to witness the online launch of its newest devices in the Philippines soon. The Chinese tech giant will introduce the Huawei Y5p and Y6p smartphones along with the MatePad T8 tablet.

Huawei's upcoming budget devices in PH

To recall, these devices were first announced in Romania earlier this month.

The Huawei Y5p is an entry-level device of the company that uses a polycarbonate design with a square camera hump and rays. It uses a 5.45-inch HD+ TFT display with 18:9 screen aspect ratio, 12nm Helio P22 octa-core processor with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD, 3,040mAh battery, 8MP f/1.8 main cam with PDAF and LED flash, 5MP f/2.0 selfie cam, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It measures at just 146.5 x 70.94 x 8.35 mm and weighs 144 grams.

Next is the Huawei Y6p with a 2.5D curved glass-like back design, larger 6.3-inch HD+ 1600 x 720 notch 20:9 screen, Helio P22 SoC, 3GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, 5,000mAh battery, micro USB 10W charging, 13MP f/1.8 PDAF + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP depth + LED flash, 8MP f/2.0 selfie cam with face unlock, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

It measures at 159.07 x 74.06 x 9.04 mm. It weighs at 185 grams.

The MatePad T8 is the budget MatePad with a blue-colored body, 8-inch LCD screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, MT8768 octa-core processor, PowerVR GE8300 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB or 32GB expandable storage, 5,000mAh battery, 5MP main cam, 2MP selfie cam, WiFi, optional 4G LTE, and Bluetooth.

The devices run with Android 10 OS with EMUI 10.1 and Huawei Mobile Services.
