DxOMark: Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's selfie camera scores 100 points, takes second place
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's front-facing camera scored 100 points in DxOMark tests. It fell short of 3 points to tie with the Huawei P40 Pro.

Back in April, DxOMark revealed the rear-facing camera scores of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The 5 camera set-up is made up of a 108MP f/1.8 shooter with Dual Pixel and OIS paired with a 12MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, 48MP f/3.5 w/ 10x Hybrid Optic Zoom and OIS, 3D ToF camera, and dual-tone LED flash which yielded a score of 132 in Photo and 102 in Video.
This gave the Ultra a total of 122 points which beat the Huawei Mate 30 Pro but trails behind the Huawei P40 Pro that scored a total of 128 points.

Fast-forward in May, DxOMark releases the breakdown and the score of the S20 Ultra's 40MP f/2.2 front-facing camera.
It scored 104 in Photo and 95 in Video. The breakdown reveals that the front snapper excelled in most situations with a score of 80+ in the most photo and video categories. It struggled most in the Noise department. What is surprising is that it scored a 70 in Bokeh in the Photo category and only 75 in stabilization in the video category.

DxOMark summarized the performance by stating that the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's selfie camera produced a consistent performance which made it achieve top-five scores in each tested category across Photo and Video analysis.
According to DxOMark, the Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra is the second-best selfie camera next to the Huawei P40 Pro.
