With an unannounced Snapdragon 768G SoC?

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has teased the arrival of the Redmi K30 5G Speed edition on its official Weibo page. Attached to the post is the teaser poster that shows the front of the phone with a large thin-bezel display with a pill-shaped punch-hole. Written on the bottom of the poster is the date "May 11."

China online retailer JD.com has listed the Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition ahead of its launch date. Inside the listing is the price of CNY 5999 that could be a placeholder and be updated once the smartphone has been announced on the 11th of May.

The listing specification page says that it features a massive 6.67-inch LCD display, 6GB RAM, 128GB of storage, and will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Before the listing was modified, it revealed that the upcoming K30 5G Speed edition will carry the unannounced Snapdragon 768G SoC.

GSMArena reports that a tweet (now taken down) reveals key details of the unannounced SoC. The Snapdragon 768G will allegedly have one 2.8GHz core, one 2.4GHz core, and 6 1.8GHz core and will have the Adreno 620 GPU clocked at 750MHz.

The leaker claims that the new chipset scores around 360K in AnTuTu which is significantly higher than  Redmi K30 5G regular variant which only scored 300K.

Until Redmi makes an official announcement with the official details of the smartphone is released, take this information with a grain of salt as it is considered as rumors.
