Xiaomi reveals Redmi Note 9S price in the Philippines

In the form of a running ad on Facebook, Xiaomi has revealed the official local price and variants of the Redmi Note 9S in the Philippines.

Another bang-for-the-buck offering from Xiaomi!

As a quick recap, the Redmi Note 9S is the highly anticipated bang-for-the-buck mid-ranger of the Chinese tech giant.

6.67-inch DotDisplay

It is a device with a Gorilla Glass 5 protected 3D curved back with P2i water splash resistance in Interstellar Black, Aurora Blue, and Glacier White colors and a unique square camera hump.

In front, it uses a Gorilla Glass 5 protected 6.67-inch 2.5D curved LCD (LTPS) screen with crisp FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, 20:9 cinematic screen aspect ratio, and a punch-hole in the middle for the selfie camera ala Samsung Galaxy Note10 series. 

Under the hood, it sports 2.3GHz 8nm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor and it comes in two storage options—4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

Xiaomi also loaded with a large 5,020mAh battery with USB-C 18W fast charging.

For cameras, there's a quad-camera setup. It uses 48MP f/1.79 Samsung ISOCELL GM2 w/ PDAF, EIS + 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle + 5MP f/2.4 2cm macro + 2MP f/2.4 depth + dual-tone LED flash.

In the front, you'll see the 16MP f/2.48 selfie camera in the punch-hole.

The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and it runs with Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 skin.

The Redmi Note 9S in all variants and color options will be available on May 8, 2020, at Xiaomi's official Shopee and Lazada stores. After the enhanced community quarantine, the handset will roll out on Mi Authorized stores nationwide.

There will be a one-day promotion on Lazada this May 8 where the 4GB/64GB variant of the Note9s will be priced at just PHP 9,990.
