Galaxy A42 could be the cheapest Samsung 5G phone

Currently, Samsung's most affordable 5G phone is the Galaxy A51 5G which costs USD 499.99 or roughly around PHP 25.2K out of direct conversion. That is considered as expensive versus 5G mid-range offerings from Chinese brands.

In China, the cheapest 5G phone is the Redmi 10X 5G with a CNY 1,599 (around PHP 11.4K) price tag.

Going back, SamMobile said that the device comes with the SM-A426B model number. The tech site also noted that Samsung will also launch a non-5G variant of the A42 with 128GB storage or double the 64GB of the current A41.

We do not have any other details about the said phone yet for now. But for sure, more affordable 5G phones such as this rumored Samsung device are coming.
