No longer exclusive to PC and consoles?
Daniel Ahmad shared on Twitter that Bilibili has secured the rights to publish a mobile version of the hit game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout in China.
Released last August 4, 2020, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout immediately became viral and has become a hit with over 1.5 million players playing online within the first 24 hours. It has then sold over 2 million copies on Steam.
The game is a massive multiplayer party game with up to 60 players online that simulates a free-for-all struggle through several rounds of escalatingly difficult obstacles. Developed by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital, the game is is inspired by Takeshi's Castle, It's a Knockout and Total Wipeout.
It is currently available on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4.
With the acquisition of the rights by Bilibili, it may be a good sign that a mobile version outside China will be developed in the future.
Take this information with a grain of salt as no official announcement of an international mobile version has been announced yet.
