Manila City to deliver FREE gadgets and SIMs with 10GB monthly data allocation to students and teachers!

Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso posted an update on his Facebook page today about the delivery of FREE gadgets and internet connection (via data allocations) to students and teachers of Manila City!

These are what Manila City students and teachers will receive starting next week!

Manila City is ready for blended distant learning!

Although DepEd has moved the opening of classes of the academic year 2020-2021 to October 05, LGUs have been doing their part to alleviate the plight of both the students and teachers as they adjust to the blended distant learning system.

This effort of your city government is to help every student and teacher to continue studying and adapt to the new normal of education. Ito ay tulong na rin natin sa mga magulang para maibsan ang kanilang hirap na mapaaral ang kanilang mga anak, Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso mentioned on his Facebook post.

Yorme has posted that Manila city's students and teachers will be receiving the following:

1. Cherry Mobile Magnum 8 or 10 tablets
2. Globe LTE Mobile WiFi (for teachers) 
3. SIM with 10GB monthly data allocation (for students)
4. Unidentified Avita laptop

As per Yorme's Facebook post, the delivery of the above-mentioned gadgets will start next week. We'll update this article once we have new information regarding this great Manila City initiative.
