Bang-for-the-buck 5G offering in China

Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is a device highlighting the new 8nm Snapdragon 750G SoC with built-in 5G connectivity. This is an octa-core chip with up to 2.2GHz clock speed, Adreno 619 GPU, and Snapdragon X52 integrated 5G modem with SA/NSA with mmWave 5G connectivity support. It also has a 360-degree antenna to improve overall connectivity.

Aside from 5G, this is the first Redmi device sporting the massive 108MP f/1.75 Samsung HM2 sensor with a 7P element lens. It is paired with an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Aside from those two main highlights, the phone is quite impressive on paper for its China asking price overall.

The device is rocking a Gorilla Glass 5 protected curved back design in different gradient colorways, P2i splash resistant body, and a 6.67-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protected LCD with 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, 20:9 screen aspect ratio, and a punch-hole for 16MP selfie shooter.

It has up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, an expandable memory slot up to 512GB via microSD, and a 4,820mAh battery with USB-C 33W fast charging.

To keep the performance in check, it has a 3 dimension liquid cooling solution. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, IR Blaster remote, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC, and hybrid dual SIM slots.

The phone measures 165.38 x 76.8 x 9 mm and weighs 215 grams.
