Following vivo's collaboration with ZEISS, the Chinese mobile maker today launched the X60 series on schedule in China.

The vivo X60 series are the first phones in the world to be powered by Samsung's new 5nm SoC and the first vivo phones with ZEISS-tuned cameras. The series includes the V60 and V60 Pro.

The vivo X60 series features a two-tone gradient design and satin AG technology on the back that is fingerprint-resistant. In front, it uses a 6.56-inch E3 AMOLED punch-hole screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 92 percent screen-to-body ratio, and an In-Display fingerprint scanner. Inside the punch-hole is a 32MP shooter.

The phones are powered by a 5nm 2.84GHz Exynos 1080 octa-core processor with Mali-G78 GPU, 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

X60 comes with a 4,300mAh battery while the X60 Pro uses a slightly smaller 4,200mAh battery. Both come with USB-C 33W fast charging support.

For cameras, X60 uses a ZEISS 48MP f/1.48 Sony IMX598 sensor with 4-axis OIS, 13MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with 2.5cm macro, and 13MP f/2.46 50mm portrait camera. X60 Pro goes with identical cameras, but it has an extra 8MP f/3.4 5x optical and 60x digital zoom lens.

The phones have several camera features like old photo restoration and coloring. X60 has 1x and 2x multi-focus motion capture while the X60 Pro goes with 1x, 2x, and 5x motion capture.

Both have WiFi ax, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1 dual-band GPS + GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

vivo X60 measures at 159.63 x 75.01 x 7.36 mm and it is said to be the slimmest 5G phone today. vivo X60 Pro measures at 158.57 x 73.24 x 7.59 mm.

Both runs with Android 11 OS with Origin OS 1.0 skin.

The phones will be available starting January 8 in China. There is a vivo X60 Pro+ too with the Snapdragon 888 that will launch in late January 2021.

There's no info if vivo will bring this to other parts of the world including the Philippines yet.
