ASUS ROG Phone 5 launch date revealed, will go official on March 10

Taiwanese firm ASUS verified that the next-gen ROG phone is coming soon. They will be skipping the number 4, and will call it the "ROG Phone 5". The phone is said to be released on March 10.

Taiwanese firm ASUS verified that the next-gen of their ROG phone is coming soon. They will be skipping the number 4, and will call it the "ROG Phone 5". The phone is said to be released on March 10.

On the website of ASUS, the company had set up an event page for the countdown of the new gaming phone. It is expected to start at 7 PM (UTC+8) in Taipei and 12 AM (UTC+1 in Berlin For those who are in New York, it will start at 6 AM( UTC-5). For the Philippines, it will start at 7pm.

The event page does not provide any more details regarding the upcoming gaming phone from the company, but a benchmark result from Geekbench suggests that the ROG Phone 5 is expected to run in Android 11. It will be powered by snapdragon 888 SoC and will have two variants for RAM an 8GB and 16GB version.

ROG phone 5 is seen listed on TENAA's website. The model code I005DA will have a huge 6.78" AMOLED display, 5G connectivity, and a 6,000 mah battery with dual-cell technology. The phone is confirmed by 3C that it will charge up to 65W as well.

There will be another variant too with model code I005DB that is expected to come in the global markets and will have similar specifications.
