vivo launches S9 5G with Dimensity 1100 and S9e 5G with Dimensity 820

vivo today announced the successor of the S7 last year S9 5G and S9e 5G.

Two new premium vivo phones with 5G and capable specs!

The devices arrived with a similar design with gradient color to the S7 with upgraded internals.

The vivo S9 is using a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. As expected, it has a notch housing two cameras—the 44MP primary front shooter and an 8MP for ultra-wide shots.

Inside, it'll be powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chip with Mali-G77 GPU. It is paired by either 8GB RAM/128GB storage or 12GB RAM/256GB storage. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with USB-C 33W fast charging support.

For the back cameras, you'll find a 64MP main camera + 8MP ultra-wide camera + 2MP macro camera.

The device obviously comes with WiFi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, and GPS. It runs with Android 10 OS with OriginOS skin.

vivo S9e 5G

Meanwhile, the vivo S9e 5G goes with similar specs except that the screen has a waterdrop notch for the single 32MP front camera. Inside, the chipset is downgraded to the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 820. The memory configuration are 8GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB.

The rest of the battery, charging, and cameras are the same.

The vivo S9 5G will be available starting March 12 in China. There's no word when will it arrive in other parts of the world.
