Chinese mobile innovator vivo has just introduced its newest 5G-ready smartphone in Thailand called the vivo Y72 5G.

vivo's first budget 5G device outside of China
vivo Y72 5G is a device featuring a matte-glass-looking back design in Graphite Black and Dream Glow colors. In front, it uses a 6.58-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a halo notch housing the 16MP f/2.0 camera.

Inside, it is powered by the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C 18W fast charging.
For cameras, this uses a 64MP f/1.79 main shooter + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter + 2MP f/2.4 macro camera.
This also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, A-GPS, and dual SIM slots.
The device boots with Funtouch OS 11.1 skin based on Android 11 OS.
It measures 163.95 x 75.30 x 8.5 mm and weighs 193 grams.

In Thailand, the first sale of the device is scheduled for March 31.
There's no info on when will it be available in neighboring countries like here in the Philippines.
