On schedule, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi launched its very first gaming-focused smartphone called the K40 Gaming Edition.

In front, you will be greeted by a 6.67-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protected AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution at 395 ppi. It also has a top-center punch-hole housing the 16MP front camera for selfies.
Under the hood, it is promising. The handset packs a 3.0GHz 6nm Dimensity 1200 octa-core processor with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU—MediaTek's most powerful chipset to date. It is paired with 6GB/8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, and a 5,065mAh battery with USB-C 67W fast charging.
Keeping the performance in check is a multi-stacked graphite layer combined with super-large vapor chambers and new aerospace-grade heat dissipation material with a built-in "white graphene" layer that covers 11540mm².
The handset also highlights a 64MP triple-cam with ultra-wide and telemacro, JBL-tuned stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio certification, IR Blaster for remote, WiFi 6, 5G SA/NSA, and dual nano-SIM slots.
