Problems in signing in, performing multiplayer games, and others

According to the official Ask PlayStation Japan Twitter account, the issue with Sony PSN seems to be global. This was confirmed by several reports about the same problem coming from Europe. The PSN down issues are impacting all PlayStation platforms and services, including PS3, PS4, PS5, Vita, and web services.

For more than an hour, PSN users were not able to access all the categories listed on the PSN's status page. This includes account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct. The gaming company has already acknowledged the outage problem and they quickly resolved it the same day.

The account management feature allows the user to edit their profile. Sony said that this could affect users being able to even sign into their PSN accounts. It added,

You might have difficulty signing in or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

The source claims that Sony was able to resolve the issue as the PSN status page shows that everything is back to normal. The company has now adjusted the PSN status to list all services as down, including Gaming and Social, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct.

Moreover, they noted that PSN users can still use their console to play games offline and they should still be able to use streaming apps and services like Netflix to watch streaming video content.
