Apple Magic Keyboard for 5th-Generation iPad Pro 12.9-inch priced in PH!

Apple has listed the new Magic Keyboard for the 5th generation iPad Pro 12.9-inch on the Philippine website for only PHP 19,990.

Back in mid-April, Apple announced the new iMac, AirTag and the new iPad Pros. Alongside these announcements is the update to the well-received Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Pros.

To recap, the new iPad Pro 12.9-inch features the new 5nm Apple M1 chip that can be configured with up to 16GB RAM and up to 2TB of storage. Users also choose to either get a WiFi-only or a new WiFi with a 5G model.

One of the highlight new features is the new 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a 120Hz ProMotion adaptive refresh rate, 1M:1 contrast ratio, and peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits.

Aside from this, Apple has upgraded the USB-C port to a Thunderbolt port that has external display support for a monitor with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz.

These changes have apparently made the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro 5th-Generation to be incompatible with the older Magic Keyboard from the previous generation. This prompted the release of the new Magic Keyboard specifically for the new iPad Pro.

It features the same full-size, backlit keys with scissor mechanism that Apple says offers 1mm travel. It has a Multi-touch gesture trackpad that can work as a cursor in iPadOS. At the side is a USB-C port that can charge the attached iPad Air or iPad Pro.

It is available in White and Black.

The Apple PH web store has listed the item but as of the time of this article's writing, the product is not yet available for purchase.
