Based on the report released by Netflix, Globe Telecom and fiber internet provider Converge ICT emerged as the top-performing telcos, providing the best prime time Netflix streaming experience last month.

Globe and Converge also shared the top rank in February.

In a separate statement, Globe Telecom said this marked its third time securing the spot. 

The Ayala-led firm attributed this achievement to its continuous network upgrades to ensure it provides reliable network connectivity amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Globe also reported that as of end-March, it has exceeded its targeted network site builds with 318 cell sites as well as 287,000 high-speed broadband lines installed nationwide.

For the first quarter, its broadband business saw its revenues surged 27 percent to a whopping PHP 7.4 billion as its subscriber base further grew in the first quarter of 2021.

Globe also passed the 4 million subscriber mark in the January to March period, or 81 percent higher from last year's figure.
