In China, OPPO has launched the Find X3 Pro Mars Exploration Edition (machine translated from Chinese) in celebration of the successful landing of the country's Tianwen-1 spacecraft on Mars.
OPPO launched the Find X3 Pro last March 2020. It arrived with a massive 6.7-inch LTPO Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, QHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Inside is the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, Adreno 660 GPU, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 ROF, 4500mAh battery with 65W Super VOOC 2.0 Flash Charge, 30W AirVOOC Wireless Flash Charge.
At the back is 50MP f/1.8 main camera, 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera/4cm macro, 13MP f/2.4 Telephoto camera, 3MP f/3.0 micro lens with 60X magnification and Dual-tone LED flash. While in front is the 32MP f/2.4 selfie camera.
Running the show is Android 11 with ColorOS 11.2 on top. Other features include IP 68 water and dust resistance, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5, in-display fingerprint scanner and triple-mic set-up.
It initially came in Gloss Black and Blue but new colorways were announced after.
The new variant brings a new space-inspired gray colorway with a rear panel made of a high-fog AG Glass with a metallic lustre. Aside from that, the back features the OPPO logo with the text 'Mars 2021' and 'Utopia Planitia.' The same 'Utopia Planitia' is also inscribed on the Tianwen-1.
Aside from the hardware differences, the new Mars Exploration Edition comes with three Mars color filters that help users take photos taken on Earth look like it was taken from Mars. It also comes with custom Mars theme with dynamic wallpapers.
Lastly, the OPPO Find X3 Pro Mars Exploration Edition will come in special retail packaging and will come in one memory variant - 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

In China, the new variant is now available for pre-orders and will be available in stores on May 16, 2021.
There is no word yet on International and Philippine pricing and availability.
