With upgraded design, comfort, sound, connectivity, and noise cancellation
FreeBuds 4 is the upgrade of the impressive FreeBuds 3 in 2019. It features several upgrades in design, comfort, sound, connectivity, and noise cancellation.
|
Can fit most ears well |
Similar to the FreeBuds 3 last year, it arrived with an open-ear design. Huawei slightly improved it by using a slightly smaller head designed to fit thousands of ear sizes. Inside, it has a larger 1.43 mm LCP dynamic driver designed to provide a frequency range of up to 40 kHz and an improved overall audio quality.
For ANC, it uses the Open-fit Active Noise Cancellation 2.0 technology. It also has an adaptive ear-matching technology that detects your unique in-ear shape and how your wear the earbuds. After that, it intelligently selects from the variety of noise cancellation modes to achieve optimal low-frequency sound reduction.
It also has a body with touch and swipe controls.
- Tap twice: Answer/End call, Play/Pause music, Previous/Next song, Enable voice assistant
- Swipe up/down: Increase/Decrease volume
- Long press: Enable/Disable noise cancellation, Reject call
For the mic, it goes with dual-mode 48 kHz HD sound recording and calls noise cancellation.
To connect, it has Bluetooth 5.2 with pop-up and pair. It can also connect two devices simultaneously and easily connect to a nearby phone, tablet, or PC automatically.
There's a low latency of 90 ms on HarmonyOS 2-powered phones and 150 ms on EMUI phones.
Each bud can last up to 4 hours of music playback and 2.5 hours with ANC on. It goes with a total of 22 hours of battery life with a smaller and lighter circular charging case. It also has 15 minutes of charge that gives 2.5 hours of music playback.
