vivo Y72 5G with SD480 5G announced
vivo announced the new member of the Y-series in India. The vivo Y72 5G is the first 5G device in the series with the Snapdragon 480 SoC.

The vivo Y72 5G has a 6.58-inch IPS screen with 2408 x 1080 FHD resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It also has a dewdrop notch for the selfie sensor. Inside, it has the 8nm 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G octa-core processor, Adreno 619 GPU, 8GB + 4GB extended RAM, 128GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
For cameras, it has a dual-rear setup with 48MP f/1.79 + 2MP f/2.4 sensors. For selfies, it has an 8MP f/1.8 camera sensor. It runs Android 11 with Funtouch OS 11.1 on top. It also has 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also measures 164.15 x 73.35 x 8.4 mm and weighs 185.5 grams.
This is a different variant compared to the global Y72 5G that sports the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The global variant also has a 64MP + 8MP ultrawide sensor combo for its cameras.

The vivo Y72 5G is now available in India via vivo's online store. It is available in Prism Magic and Slate Gray colors.
