Fast-rising mobile maker realme today announced that it will be the first brand to release a device powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G processor.

Dimensity 810 world debut

To recap, Dimensity 810 is a mid-range octa-core chip featuring an ARM Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A76 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It also has support for up to LPDDR4X RAM, up to UFS 2.2 storage, 2560 x 1080 resolution screens up to 120Hz, and a 64MP single camera or dual 16MP sensors. This chip has WiFi 5, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NavIC, and more as well.

realme notes that this chip will help its upcoming smartphone to have an "epic performance".

MediaTek also notes that this handset will bring an incredible all-around smartphone experience. It'll provide incredible processor speeds, snappier app response, longer battery life, more FPS in games, and incredible camera and videography features for the Indian market.

For the handset itself, realme has yet to share more information. Rumors are stating that it might be the realme 8s.
