Huawei to launch nova 9 with P50-like design on September 23

Huawei today confirmed that the nova 9 will be announced on September 23 in China.

nova 9 will come with a P50-like design!

Based on its official teaser image, the handset will borrow the design of the Huawei P50 flagships with a dual-circle camera hump at the back. It will also run with the HarmonyOS out of the box.

Huawei nova RTE-AL00 at TENAA

The dual-circle camera hump just has a slightly different camera placement within the circles. The main shooter is found on top with a colored ring on it. The 3 other cameras with the LED flash are found below.

The device has the model name/number Huawei RTL-AL00 on TENAA certification. It appears that the device has a pill-shaped shaped camera cutout, possible OLED panel with an IN-Display fingerprint scanner, volume rocket rocker, and power key on the right edge.

At 3C certification revealed that it might ship with a 66W fast charger. It could also be powered by the 4G version Snapdragon 778 SoC.

Another Huawei device (NAM-AL00) was also spotted at 3C recently with 4G LTE and 100W charging. This might be the nova 9 Pro.

Likely, these handsets are 4G-only phones only as Huawei still doesn't have access to 5G chips due to US restrictions.
