Microsoft shared devices that will recieve the Windows 11 first

Earlier, Microsoft shared the official launch date of Windows 11 scheduled for October 5, 2021. The company has also shared the first devices that will get the latest upgrade.

A number of laptops will get it first!

Microsoft said in a blog post that the upgrade will be offered first to eligible PCs. Then it will be made available to devices in the market, depending on intelligence models that assess hardware eligibility, dependability metrics, device age, and other characteristics that affect the upgrading experience.

Here is the list of devices that will get the upgrade:

  • Acer Swift 5 (SF514-55)
  • Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G)
  • Asus Zenbook Flip 13 OLED UX363
  • Asus Zenbook 14 UX425
  • Alienware x15
  • Alienware x17
  • Dell XPS 13
  • HP Spectre x360 14
  • HP ENVY x360 15
  • 2-in-1 Lenovo Yoga 7 convertible series
  • Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro series
  • Samsung Galaxy Book Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360
  • Surface Pro 7
  • Surface Laptop 4

Windows 11 is Microsoft's newest operating system, and it has brought a revamped user interface, improvements in multitasking and performance, and many other features, such as support for Android apps for the first time in Windows 11.

Here are the basic system requirements to look out for when installing the new OS on a PC:

  • 64-bit 1GHz or faster with 2 or more cores processor
  • at least 4GB or more RAM
  • 64GB or more storage
  • UEFI, secure boot capable system firmware
  • TPM version 2.0 support
  • DirectX 12 compatible graphics card or later with WDMM 2.0 driver
  • A screen with at least 720p resolution

Meanwhile, you can use the PC Health Check app if you're running Windows 10 to verify compatibility.
