Black Shark 4S Pro and Black Shark 4S Freedom Gundam Limited Edition launched!

Black Shark has just unleashed the Black Shark 4S, 4S Pro, and 4S Pro Gundam limited edition smartphone in China!

Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro colorways

In China, Black Shark just announced the new Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro in China. Both smartphones are mostly the same but with several key differences. 

The Black Shark 4S and 4S Pro both feature a large 6.67-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, 1300 nits peak brightness, MEMC intelligent motion compensation technology, and an In-Display fingerprint scanner

Inside the vanilla Black Shark 4S is the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, Adreno 650 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. At the back of the Black Shark 4S is a 48MP f/1.79 main camera, 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide camera, 5MP f/2.4 Super macro camera with LED flash. While in front is a 20MP selfie camera.

While inside the Black Shark 4S Pro is the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, Adreno 660 GPU, 12GB/16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 + SSD Disk Array 2.0 storage. At the back of the Black Shark 4S Pro is a 64MP f/1.79 main camera, 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide camera, 5MP f/2.4 super macro camera, and LED flash. While in front is a 20MP f/2.45 selfie camera.

Both smartphones are powered by a large 4,500mAh battery with an improved 120W fast charging via USB-C.

To dissipate heat, the two also have the sandwich liquid cooling system with a large liquid cooling plate + liquid cooling tube and a copper alloy substrate and built-in up to 11 temperature sensors.

The phones also have an upgraded shoulder button, 15V smart power amplifier, and 1216 linear speaker.

Other features of both models feature a 3.5mm audio jack, 5G SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Running the show for both models is Android 11 with JoyUI 12.8. All versions have can carry up to two nano-SIM cards. 

The vanilla Black Shark 4S comes in either Black or Fog White colorways. It will also be offered in a Gundam Limited edition version. While the Black Shark 4S Pro comes in either Galaxy Black and Sky White colorways.

All models will be available for purchase in China this October 15, 2021. There is no word yet on international or Philippine pricing and availability.
