OPPO sponsors League of Legends World Championship

The collaboration was part of the company's multi-year contract with Riot Games, which was struck in 2019. OPPO will benefit from this agreement by increasing brand awareness among global Esports participants.

This year, OPPO will award pro players who have dominated the battlegrounds with extraordinary performances in the finals with the Most Valuable Players Awards. The phone maker will also show gameplay highlights as well as interviews with professional players and teams. So that spectators can receive the inside scoop on the pro players and the final game's development.

It's our pleasure to continue the partnership with Riot Games this year. League of Legends provides OPPO a platform to let more gamers around the world get to know us better. More importantly, the unyielding spirit of the pro players is similar to OPPO’s relentless strive for innovation when it comes to products and technology. We are constantly concentrating on delivering nothing short of excellence and creating unique experiences for our users, said William Liu, VP and President of Glbal Marketing at OPPO.

The Chinese phone maker intends to get more involved with regard to the global Esports community and believes that the professional players' competitive attitude in the finals will inspire fans to realize their wildest dreams.

The League of Legends World Championship 2021 season 11 will bring together elite teams from 11 countries and regions for one of the highest-stakes tournaments in history. It will begin on October 5th and end on November 6th in Engjavegur 8, 104 Reykjavik, Iceland, with the finals taking place on November 6th.

Locally, the Philippines' esports and gaming culture has continued to expand, with an increasing number of aspiring pro players expressing interest in joining the pro league via social media. From its initial roster of gamers, such as Gloco Gaming, to now adding infamous names in the league, such as Kang Dupet, Kaisaya, Newspade, Charess, Jillian Santos, and Mirmoo, OPPO has continued to expand its support to various esports and gaming talents, especially in one of the country's most popular games, League of Legends Wild Rift.
