Two heavy-duty computers!

As Dell claims, these laptops are engineered to withstand some of the harshest and most demanding environments. An ideal computer suited for field professionals such as military, first responders, and manufacturing workers

Aside from durability, these devices are also equipped with TPM 2.0 ControlVault™, Integrated cryptographic keys, contacted and contactless smartcard reader, and touch fingerprint reader options for advanced data protection and security.

The Latitude 5430 is a semi-rugged laptop with a handle and a solid thick casing that has an IP53 rating for protection against water and dust. Dell also says the thick build can even survive 3ft drop test.

It has a display of 14-inch with FHD resolution and 60hz refresh rate, an option of a non-touch 400-nit panel, or a touchscreen with up to 1,100 nits of brightness.

It also comes with either Intel Core i5 or Core i7 11th gen processors. They also paired it with up to 32GB of DDR4 3200MHz RAM along with up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage. The company also gave an option for a discrete GPU Nvidia Quadro T500 or Intel graphics only.

Moving to Latitude 7330, it is a fully rugged laptop with a thicker, more solid build and better protection from dust, water, and dirt with its IP65 rating. It can even survive a 6ft drop test as the company claims. It has a screen of 13-inch FHD 60Hz anti-glare with a touchscreen that can also work with gloves. It has 100% sRGB colors and up to 1,400 nits of brightness which lets the user view under direct sunlight.

Inside, it is powered by up to Intel Core i7 11th gen processor, up to 32GB LPDDR4 4266MHz RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage. However, this doesn't come with an option for discrete GPU so that means it only has Intel graphics.

As for the batteries of these laptops, they are equipped with a dual hot-swappable battery system that can last up to 25 hours. It also has Express Charge Boost support which Dell claims can reach 35 percent within 20 minutes for 24x7 field operations.

For connectivity, they have options for 5G capability and has WiFi6E to ensure that it will have a stable signal and fast internet connection.

For software, both have Windows 11 and has Dell Optimizer software that gives performance optimization based on usage. Both also come with enterprise services and support, including the Next-Business-Day on-site support option.

US price with Direct to PHP conversion (no tax and duties yet):

Dell Latitude Rugged 5430 - Starts at USD 1,949 (around PHP 91K)
Dell Latitude 7330 - Starts at USD 4,259 (around PHP 214K)

Both laptops will be available globally for order starting December 9, 2021. There's no news yet for its availability in the Philippines.
