According to JobStreet's latest Salary Report, 49.7 percent of job postings offered higher pay from January to September 2021. Overall, there has been an average salary increase of 22.9 percent from 2020. In fact, there were more Philippine-based employers that increased their salary offers compared to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
In the Philippines, here are the percentages of industries that offered higher salaries in 2021:
Education - 67 percent of all job postings
Public Service - 64 percent of all job postings
Social Services - 52 percent of all job postings
Electrical/Electronics - 50 percent of all job postings
Computer/IT - 48 percent of all job postings
Marketing and Advertising - 48 percent of all job postings
Telecommunication - 48 percent of all job postings
Healthcare - 48 percent of all job postings
Construction and Building - 47 percent of all job postings
Communication Service - 46 percent of all job postings
Here are the average entry-level salaries in different industries:
Telecommunication - PHP 20,000
Computer/IT - PHP 19,550
Communication Service - PHP 19,500
Consulting - PHP 19,000
Insurance - PHP 17,000
Electrical/Electronics - PHP 17,000
Hospitality - PHP 15,500
Manufacturing - PHP 15,500
Consumer Goods - PHP 15,000
Banking and Finance - PHP 14,600
Here are the average salaries for supervisors in different industries:
Computer/IT - PHP 75,000
Consulting - PHP 62,500
Communication Service - PHP 55,000
Insurance - PHP 45,000
Banking and Finance - PHP 42,500
Electrical/Electronics - PHP 40,250
Consumer Goods - PHP 37,000

It's not all sunshine and daisies though as some jobs got pay cuts too. About 39 percent of job advertisements in the Philippines relating to advertising and finance offered lower salaries in 2021 than in 2020.
Sales/marketing, computer/IT, services, engineering, administration/human resources, building/construction, hotel/restaurant, arts/media/communications, and manufacturing rounded out the top 10 pay drops by specialization in 2021.
