Confirmed: Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pocket will go official in the Philippines on February 4!

In an email sent to the media including team GIZGUIDE, Huawei Philippines recently confirmed that the P50 flagship series will go official in the country this February 4, 2022. The announcement came after over a month of teasing the release of the phones in the Philippine market.

As a quick recap, Huawei P50 Pro has a 6.6-inch OLED screen with 2700 x 1228 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sample rate, 450 ppi pixel density, and 1,440Hz PWM dimming. It also has a punch-hole cutout for the 13MP selfie camera and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, it has the 2.84GHz 5nm Snapdragon 888 4G octa-core processor, Adreno 660 GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and a 4,360mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge + 50W Wireless SuperCharge + Reverse Wireless Charging.

For the cameras, it has a rear quad-camera setup with 50MP f/1.8 main sensor OIS + 64MP f/3.5 telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom, OIS + 40MP f/1.6 monochrome sensor + 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor with LED flash.

On the other hand, the Huawei P50 Pocket features a large 6.9-inch folding main OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and FHD+ 2790 x 1188 resolution at 439 ppi. There is also a punch-hole for the 10.7MP Wide Angle selfie camera. It also jas a 1-inch circular AMPLEd screen in one of the camera bumps.

Inside, it is using the 4G version of the 5nm Snapdragon 888 4G processor with Adreno 660 GPU.

On the back camera parts, It uses a 40MP f/1.8 26mm True-Chroma primary camera + 13MP f/2.2 13mm ultra-wide-angle camera + 32MP f/1.8 30mm Ultra Spectrum (for more details) camera. It also has Laser AF and XD Fusion Pro technology to help users focus faster and improve the overall quality of the images it will take, respectively.

To those who missed it, both won't be using 5G version of SD888 due to the restrictions of US to Huawei.

Local telco giant Globe also announced that the devices will be available for pre-order from February 4.
