The Exynos 2200 SoC uses 4nm EUV lithography processing technology for better power efficiency. It also has a tri-cluster CPU structure with 1x Cortex-X2 core optimized for maximum performance, 3x Cortex-A710 cores for balance processing power, and 4x Cortex-A510 cores for better overall efficiency.

All of these cores are based on the newest ARMv9 architecture. It is a technology similar to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Samsung has not disclosed its core clock speeds. In addition to these technologies, it also has Advanced multi-IP governor or AMIGO technology that monitors the status of main components like the CPU and GPU to adjust settings for longer battery life.

The main highlight here is the new Xclipse 920 GPU based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture that features support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing. The GPU also support variable rate shading technology to optimize GPU workloads by applying lower shading rates in areas where it will not affect visuals while providing stable frame rates.

Other features include an integrated NPU+DSP, LPDDR5 support, UFS 3.1 support, up to 200MP single-camera support, 8K60fps playback, up to 4K 120Hz display support, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo.

The Samsung Exynos 2200 is currently in production and is expected to debut with the Samsung Galaxy S22 series next month.
