The realme 9 Pro series

Full specs are now out!

Both smartphones appear in innovative light shift designs where the colors of the back cover change when light hits it. They are available in three colorways namely Sunrise Blue, Midnight Black, and Aurora Green.

The light shift design

The vanilla realme 9 Pro has a 6.59-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with 6 levels of 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240hz touch sampling rate, and 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. 

Although it's a bit of a letdown that it uses an LCD panel, this is not the first time that the brand used LCD screens for the Pro version. We've already seen this from the 3 Pro, 5 Pro, and the 6 Pro. Fortunately, they compensated for it with a higher screen refresh rate.

realme 9 Pro features

At the helm, it is powered by the 2.2GHz 6nm Snapdragon 695 octa-core processor. It is then paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM plus another 5GB virtual RAM and a single storage option of 128GB UFS 2.2.

The realme 9 Pro carries a battery capacity of 5,000mAh and can be charged using a 33W in-box Dart Charger.

It has a triple camera setup with a 64MP Nightscape camera, followed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP for macro shots. As for selfies, it has a 16MP module.

Other features are a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a liquid cooling system to keep the thermals in check.

For connectivity, it has WiFi, Dual 5G, and 4G support, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C, and  3.5mm jack with Hi-Res audio support.

As for the OS, it uses Android 12 with realme UI 3.0 skin on top.

realme 9 Pro + features

Moving to the realme 9 Pro+, being the higher model, it is now equipped with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 90.8 screen-to-body ratios and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside this is powered by a 2.4GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 920 octa-core processor with Mali- G68 MC4 GPU. Alongside that is the 6GB or 8GB RAM plus another 5GB virtual RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options.

Meanwhile, its battery has a 4,500mAh capacity, even though it is lower compared to the vanilla model. The brand compensated it with a faster 60W Super Dart Charge technology which can fill the juice from zero to 50 percent in 15 minutes as the brand claims.

Sony flagship-level sensor

Like we said in our recent news, this one carries a flagship-level sensor. It is equipped with the 50MP Sony IMX766 with a large 1/1.56 sensor size. To recall the OPPO Find X3 Pro has this type of lens. It also has AI Noise Cancellation 3.0 Technology, as well as OIS and EIS for stabilization. Its main camera, according to realme's own Camera Lab test, can compete with premium flagship phones in terms of quality.

The primary sensor is followed by an 8MP ultrawide module and 2MP which can be used for macro shooting.

Other features are the in-display fingerprint scanner with a heart rate monitor so you can check your heart rate easily, a better cooling feature known as Vapor Chamber Cooling System that reduces temperature by up to 10 degrees celsius, and X-axis Linear Motor for immersive vibration.

For connectivity, it has WiFi 6, Dual 5G, and 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, GPS, and a 3.5mm jack with Hi-Res audio support.

Also, the realme 9 Pro+ comes with Android 12 OS with realme UI 3.0 skin on top.
