Sony releases Link Buds S with ANC and LDAC lossless audio for less!

Japanese tech giant Sony today launched the LinkBuds S. On paper, it is like a budget-friendly version of the flagship WF-1000XM4.

A budget-friendly Sony buds with ANC and LDAC!

The device features a similar design to the XM4 in Black, White, and Ercu colorways, but with silicone-like tips instead of foamies. It also has an IPX4 water splash resistance rating; each bud weighs just 4.8 grams.

Inside, the buds come with are equipped with 5mm drivers with support for Sony's LDAC lossless wireless audio codec. LinkBuds S also ANC to help in blocking outside noise.

The buds also have the Adaptive Sound Control, Sony: Auto Play, and Speak-to-Chat features. The buds can also automatically adjust audio output volume and ANC sensitivity based on your environment to help users be aware of their surroundings. This also has support for Alexa.

Each bud can last up to 6 hours of music playback on a single charge with ANC turned on. Without ANC, they can last up to 9 hours. Users can also enjoy up to 20 hours of total playback with the case.

Sony is also claiming that a 5-minute charge using the case is equal to 60 minutes of playtime.

Note that this is different compared to the LinkBuds with an open ring design announced last February.

Amazon listed that the LinkBuds S is priced at USD 199.99. There is no info if it will be available for the Philippine market yet.
