One of the largest eCommerce platforms just concluded its successful mid-year sale. LazMall, which is Lazada's curated channel for leading local brands, allegedly had 6X daily average uplift versus a normal day.

The company also saw that online shoppers maximized savings with vouchers as it saw a 6X increase in daily vouchers redeemed compared to a normal day. Aside from that, it seems Filipinos went huge on skincare since over 50,000 skincare face masks were ordered during the first hour alone. 

Meanwhile, fur parents took the opportunity to go online shopping with over 40,000 dog food and treats were sold in just a day. 

Lazada noted that the 6.6 Mid-Year Mega Sale also reflects the popularity of the platform's strategy that blends shopping and entertainment. According to the company, it aims to uplift shopping experiences for consumers with nearly 1,000 hours of content were streamed on the app via LazLive.
