OPPO Reno8 series with Dimensity 1300, Dimensity 8100-Max now official in India

The OPPO Reno8 series just launched in India with some differences from its China counterparts. The Reno8 now has the Dimensity 1300 for instance.

OPPO Reno8 Pro features the Dimensity 8100-Max

The OPPO Reno8 series retains the design of the Chinese variant with a rectangular camera bump housing a triple-camera setup. In front, it has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera as well as slim bezels all around.

The OPPO Reno8 features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 2400 x 1080 FHD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 600 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Inside, it features the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1300 octa-core processor with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which is an improvement from the Dimensity 900 of the Chinese variant. It also has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support.

For cameras, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 main sensor + 8MP f/2.2 Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor + 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor with LED flash. For selfies, it has the 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX709 sensor.

It runs Android 12 out of the box with ColorOS 12.1. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, dual-band WiFi, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, and USB-C.

For the OPPO Reno8 Pro, it features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 2402 x 1080 FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, 950 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Inside, it has the 5nm MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max, Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. 

For cameras, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 main sensor + 8MP f/2.2 Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor + 2MP f/2.4 OV02B10 macro sensor with LED flash. For selfies, it has the 32MP f/2.4 Sony IMX709 sensor. It also has a MariSilicon X NPU.

It runs Android 12 out of the box with ColorOS 12.1. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, dual-band WiFi, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB-C.

The OPPO Reno8 comes in Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black while the OPPO Reno8 Pro comes in Glazed Green and Glazed Black. It is now available in India. Local price and availability are yet to be confirmed though.
