iOS 16 is now available for download in PH!

After Apple unveiled its latest operating system last June 2022, iOS 16 is now available for download in the Philippines.

iOS 16 is now available in the Philippines!

As a recap, Apple says the new OS brings improved all-new personalization features, more intelligence, and easier ways to communicate and share.

Personalization features

The main highlight will be the capability to modify lock screens, as users may now customize the look of time and date using multiple styles and colors. Users may also add widgets to quickly tap the weather, battery, and alarms, or design several Lockscreens.

Supported iPhones may also now view notifications in expanded form, stacked view, or hidden. The notifications can also appear even at the bottom of the screen if the user prefers that.

Meanwhile, the iCloud Share Photo Library will permit users to share their pictures among their families or friends but is limited to five lists only.

You may also edit or recall recently sent SMS up to 15 minutes after sending them. Moreover, you can also retrieve deleted messages and mark conversations unread to view them later.

Additionally, SharePlay is now available in Messages and enables sharing of playback controls for content like TV shows, movies, or songs while chatting with others.

Apple also highlighted the Safety Check. This enables the users to instantly disable information sharing on their list once if their safety is at risk from "domestic or intimate partner violence". Furthermore, the emergency reset command will let users sign out of iCloud accounts on all their devices and reset privacy permissions while limiting the messaging to the devices they have at hand.

Of course, the user may also control which individuals and apps they have been given access to.

Supported devices lists

The OS is also available with the recently released iPhone 14 series. While for the rest of the devices, you may refer to the photo above.

Starting September 12, the iOS 16 can now be downloaded on these supported iPhones.
