Motorola launches Edge 30 Ultra, boasts a 200MP camera and 125W charging!

Motorola today announced the Edge 30 Ultra, the global version of the X30 Pro in China. This is the company's most capable smartphone on paper yet.

First 200MP phone for the global market?

The main highlight of the device is its massive 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor with a 1/1.22-inch size and f/1.95 aperture. It comes with 16-in-1 pixel binning to deliver 12.5MP images of 2.56µm size. This sensor also has an omnidirectional PDAF and OIS.

The rest of the cameras assisting the 200MP sensor are the 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP f/1.6 IMX663 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.

Other specs of the phone include an IP52-rated body in Interstellar Black and Starlight White colorways and a 6.67-inch Gorilla Glass protected curved pOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 1,500Hz touch sampling rate, FHD+ resolution, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a punch-hole for the massive 60MP f/2.2 OV60a selfie camera.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, and  4,610mAh battery capacity with ultra-fast 125W wired fast charging and 50MP wireless charging.

The device also has stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, dual SIM slots, and Android 12 OS with MyOS 4.0 skin.

The device starts at EUR 900 for the 128GB variant.

There is no info if it will be available in the Philippines yet.
