Apple Watch line in trouble?

No more Apple Watch in the US?

After the ruling, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) will consider banning the import of the Apple Watch Series 6 and later models.

Before the first Apple Watch was announced, the tech giant sought to collaborate with Masimo. However, Masimo's CEO claimed that the 'collaborative meeting' was mainly to poach certain employees and extract information and expertise on certain Masimo medical products like the modern blood oxygen sensor that is used in hospitals.

GSMArena says that Apple eventually signed Masimo's Chief Medical officer shortly after the meeting.

Masimo then sued Apple in 2020 for infringing 10 different Masimo patents and asked for a ban on Apple Watch sales in the United States.

The decision will ultimately be up to the USITC. The commission will have to look closely into Apple's pulse oximeter's implementation and decide whether or not Apple used Masimo's trade secrets to develop the technology.

What do you guys think?
