Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra w/ 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, SD8 Gen 2 is now official!

Apart from the standard and Plus versions of the Galaxy S23 Series, there's also the Ultra variant which is the big boss among the group.

The main highlight of the device comes from its camera system. The Ultra variant is equipped with a whopping 200MP f/1.7 23mm 85-degree OIS Samsung ISOCEL HP2 sensor + 12MP f/2.2 13mm ultra-wide-angle 120-degree sensor + 10MP f/2.4 36-degree 69mm OIS telephoto + another 10MP f/4.9, 230mm OIS telephoto with 10x optical zoom and capable of up to 100x space zoom.

Another worth looking at is its 4nm 3.36GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor w/ New-gen Adreno GPU.

Meanwhile, the screen is bigger than its siblings with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a resolution of 3080 x 1440 at 500 ppi, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection against drops.

The phone has 8 or 12GB RAM choices while the storage options are 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.

The battery is also bigger at 5,000mAh capacity and charges using 45W power brick and 10W via Qi wireless charging. However, there's no mention of reverse wireless like other flagships have.

For selfies, the phone uses a 12MP f/2.2 shooter with 80-degree FOV, 25mm size, and supports HDR10+ too.

Other features listed are 2x Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, an In-Display fingerprint reader, and an IP68 rating for dust and water protection.

Meanwhile, the phone runs Android 13 OS w/ Samsung One UI 5.1

The Ultra variant is now available for pre-order starting February 2 at select Samsung stores and authorized dealers. It is expected to arrive in stores soon.
