ICYMI: Volla Phone X23 is a handset with two Operating Systems!

A German firm launched a smartphone featuring two Operating systems that users can choose from.

A handset with Dual OS!

Yes, you read that right, the Volla Phone X23 runs the so-called Vola OS (Google free) or the Ubuntu Touch.

The firm claims that its very own OS respects the user's privacy and comes with many security feats to protect your information. It is open-source that doesn't rely on the cloud while it also comes with ample customization and essential applications.

Meanwhile, the Ubuntu Touch another Linux-based mainly engineered for mobile devices aims to provide users a mix of Mobile and Desktop-like functions by connecting it to their monitor, TV, or tablet. It is also open source with several customizations, new designs, swipe gestures, multitasking, and more security features.

The design of the phone

Now let's talk about the hardware, shall we? The phone uses a 6.1-inch LCD (IPS) with 1560 x 720 resolution at 281 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Inside, it is equipped with Helio G99 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W and 15W wireless charging.

For cameras, it uses 48MP + 8MP ultra-wide/macro shooter  + LED flash.

Others are a side-mounted fingerprint reader, MIL-STD-810H military-grade rating, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For connectivity, it has 4G LTE, WiFi (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

It is now available via pre-order in Europe and shipping begins on May 2023. As for other markets, we will have to stay tuned for that as the brand says it will also come to the Indigogo store.
